What this site is
Culver City Gov is a public-facing research project built from documents and information that are available to the public. Sources may include official City records, agendas, minutes, staff reports, resolutions, ordinances, meeting videos, election materials, Police and Fire Department publications, public databases, government websites, archived public webpages and other records that members of the public can access.
The site attempts to make those records easier to understand by arranging them in chronological order and grouping them by subject, policy, department, public official or other person involved. Where interpretation is offered, it is intended to be distinguishable from the underlying source facts.
What this site is not
Culver City Gov is not an official City of Culver City website and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, maintained by or speaking for the City of Culver City, Los Angeles County, the State of California, any public department or agency, any elected body, any political party, any PAC, any campaign or candidate committee, or any private corporation or organization.
The use of the words “Culver City” and “Gov” in the site name does not create or imply governmental status. The site is an independent research publication available for anyone to view.
Nothing on the site should be treated as an official government notice, official election communication, official legal record, official meeting record or substitute for the original public document.
How the research is assembled
The project searches publicly accessible websites, databases and document repositories for relevant records. Those records are then organized so that events can be followed across time and related materials can be viewed together.
When the site describes a vote, official action, expenditure, policy, meeting, statement or other factual event, the goal is to tie that statement to a source that readers can inspect. When a record does not establish an individual vote or other fact, the site attempts not to infer one.
Public records can be incomplete, corrected, replaced, amended, removed, re-posted or interpreted differently by different readers. Culver City Gov may therefore update or correct pages as additional records become available. Publication here does not guarantee that a source is complete, current or free from error.
Using the site

Accordingly, visitors should not assume that browsing any public website is technically anonymous merely because this project does not intentionally build visitor profiles.
